If you are renovating or building, putting in a bath is one of the biggest investments you will make. Whether you opt for traditional or contemporary, a bath will be the central focal point of any bathroom. Address what it is you would like from the space and what you will need, both now and in the future. Your wishlist, and the practicalities of what you need should meet somewhere in the middle.  There is such a wide selection out there, but the bath is a great point from which to design the rest of the room.  It’s a decision you will need to get right from the start, and we are here to help you.

Before you go shopping:

Measure the space you have to work with and consider the practicalities of where the pipe work is, where other items will go, where the window is etc. Draw it all down to bring with you to the showroom, this will make it easier for us to help you with a selection. Think about styles that you like and the look that you are trying to achieve. We can work towards finding your ideal tub with all this information.

What kind of bath should you go for?

Shower Baths

If you are looking for versatility then the shower bath is for you. With the shape of a normal bath, but with extra space at one end, they are usually fitted with a shower screen. For a home where there isn’t the option of both separately, this is the ideal solution. Offering practicality and the option for a soothing soak at the end of the day!

Corner Baths

Unlike straight edged baths, corner baths don’t protrude out in to the room, meaning all that precious space in your bathroom won’t be wasted. Freeing up floor area means more room to move around too.  You can choose left or right handed fittings, so you can select the best corner for you.

Freestanding baths

There is no getting away from the fact that free standing tubs are the bottom line in elegance and refinement. They are such showstoppers and are the ultimate space to relax. They do need more space around them than a built-in tub, and are not as practical as other choices. However, they are an experience within their own right, and with an endless choice of colours and styles to choose from, will create a glamorous focal point within your room.

Whirlpool Baths

It’s a fact that many luxury bathrooms are not complete without a whirlpool bath in them. A soak in a whirlpool bath can loosen tense muscles, and create a sense of relaxation. You can end each and every day with your very own spa experience without having to leave your own home.  You will need to keep in mind the fact that they are a little more complex to fit and they will need to be maintained with diligent cleaning. But it’s worth it for the sense or tranquility you will get!
